As a result of the joint investigation, Daniel Thibeault, age 25, who has been residing at 364 Elm Ave. in Antrim was arrested on January 10, 2022, on one felony level charge of Arson. He was released on PR bail and his arraignment date is to be determined at the Hillsborough County Superior Court.

The investigation remains ongoing. The members of the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Antrim Police Department and the Antrim Fire Department would like to thank the Swanzey Police Department and the Keene Police Department for their assistance, which helped lead to Mr. Thibeault’s arrest.

Fire Marshal Toomey would like to remind our citizens that arson is not a victimless crime, and that any intentionally set fire puts in motion a series of events that significantly jeopardizes both the public and our First Responders safety. Nationwide, intentional set fires cause over 400 deaths, 1,300 injuries, and $1.3 billion dollars in direct property damage annually.
